Elizabeth Phelps, a member of the Sempere lab, has been awarded $2,500 in funding for the ASIP Summer Research Opportunity Program in Pathology (SROPP). In addition, the Sempere Lab has generously pledged to match her funding, bringing the total amount to $5,000. The major objective of the SROPP is to provide meaningful biomedical research experiences for undergraduate students who are considering careers in research. Undergraduate students spend 10 weeks doing research in the laboratory of an ASIP member.
