Adriana L. Ponton-Almodovar is a graduate student from the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department. She earned her Bachelor of Sciences in Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology degree at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. After graduating, she completed a one-year NIH Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. Adriana joined the Horibata Lab to study ovarian cancer, including its mechanism of chemoresistance, and how obesity and metabolism impacts the progression of this lethal cancer. During her free time, Adriana enjoys watching animated sitcoms and solving sudoku puzzles.
