Originally from China, he earned his Ph.D. in Sports Medicine from Peking University in 1999. Transitioning to biomedical research, he pursued postdoctoral training in gene expression regulation and cancer at several prestigious institutions, including Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Texas, the University of Rhode Island, and the University of Oklahoma.
Lin later shifted to the biotech industry, working in Massachusetts at companies such as AbbVie and Sanofi, where he specialized in antibody discovery, immunology, and inflammation. His interdisciplinary career spans academia and industry, combining expertise in molecular biology, oncology, and therapeutic development. Currently at PHP, his research aims to advance precision medicine through biomarker discovery, bridging his extensive background in both foundational and applied biomedical sciences.
